She hasn’t done much, but she was and still is a symbol, you do not have to be a pro-monarchist (so called royalist, here, in the UK) to appreciate history and have human decency to not post things like this literally on the same day this 96 year old woman died.
As a South Asian, what part of history should I appreciate? The part where she fucking controlled a vast amount of lands occupied by her imperialist ancestors, the part where she stole our resources and kept our lands divided? You think I will allow myself to humiliate myself for the sake of this rotten parasite who deserved no honor to begin with? She carried a legacy of genocide and oppression, and I hope that she burns in the deepest levels of hell together with Thatcher. The only symbol the British monarch stands for is blood.
